Weekend!

We went to a super fun Kentucky Derby party thrown by wonderful, generous friends!  It was a great party complete with Derby pie, hot brown casserole, cheese grits, mint julep, chocolate pecans, and more!  There was even a horse race for the children!

Bethany was getting ready for the day when she brought me my Mother's Day card and gift!  My first ever Mom necklace.  Marcus said she made it herself.  Haha.  :)

Breakfast at the Townhouse before church!  I LOVE my Mom n' Pop breakfast places and miss the ones back home on the beach so much!  Also, as you can see, I've been playing around with Instagram.

Sweet treats for a special Sunday!  We love this place!

On Mother's Day, we also walked around Park Avenue, tried to sign Bethany up for classes at Gymboree for the summer (they were closed), got an iPhone car charger for a great price at Marshalls along with a toy bee that Bethany befriended, made a quick stop into Michael's, had dinner at Mimi's Cafe, and then picked up some Boogie Wipes at Target for Bethany before heading home.  Yes, it was a very full day, but it was a very wonderful day, too.  Marcus wanted it to be special and he succeeded!  Goodness, I love him and I'm so blessed that he loves me.  Bethany was a trooper through the entire day, too.  She took her naps while we were out and about and seemed to like the different scenery.  Marcus says that she gets that from me.  She gets fussy couped up in the house all day.  Oh, and we also called our moms and wished them a very happy Mother's Day!
