Car Seats!

Car seat safety is so important.  Car accidents happen everyday and it is so important to be as safe as possible.  I could write a blog rehashing the things several other super intelligent mamas have put together . . . but I'm not.  I'm going to link you to some really excellent resources that you should read and seriously consider.

Amanda's blog was the first blog I read about car seat safety.  It was what prompted me to remove the strap protectors from Bethany's carrier seat and to ALWAYS check to make sure her chest clip was in the proper position.

Catherine's blog has been updated from the first one she did on car seat safety over a year ago.  This one is even better than the first!

(Although, I'm warning you.  Just skip the comments on the article.  Car accidents happen and it boggles my mind how some people think they're invincible.)

Bethany's car seats arrived today!  I love how UPS tried to "hide" them with our door mat.

Yes.  We ordered two different seats, although, honestly they are incredibly similar.  After doing some intensive internet research, Marcus and I tried both seats out at Babies R Us before making our final selections.  (The easy adjust straps were what sold Marcus on his Triumph Deluxe.  They are really nice. )  Of course, we wanted something super safe and these were the two seats that we couldn't make up our minds over.  In the end, we decided to just try both of them.  Diapers.com was having a flash sale on the pretty pink Marathon 70 and we had a discount code to take even more off of the cost of our total purchase.  We got both seats for a great price and Bethany gets one seat that isn't gender neutral.  Yes, I admit, I love the pink with polka-dots!
