Summer Fun!

Here is just a little of what we've been up to this summer . . . condensed into as few photos as possible.  Haha.

We went to Denver for nine days and had a fantastic time!

We've splashed around at the park!

We've been to Sea World.  This prompted me to do some reading on orcas in captivity.  What I have found is actually kind of terrifying.

We visited the zoo with some great friends!  Bethany loves animals!  Can you tell I love the outfit she is wearing?

This monitor lizard is a part of the zoo's affection section.  Doesn't she look affectionate?

We went to a couple of baby showers.  This was my cousin's shower.  She is due in August!

Bethany learned she can draw with a highlighter.  Mommy learned highlighter is hard to get off of baby skin.  I bought her some crayons, but she just wants to eat them.

Since Bethany has been walking since about a week into being a ten-month-old, we installed a baby gate.  It is not her favorite, but gives her a lot of area to safely walk!

This certainly isn't all we've been up to, but it's a glimpse!  This is my last week before starting back to work.  I'm excited, but of course, B and I will both be adjusting to a new schedule very soon.  We've been visiting her preschool and I'll definitely be writing about her starting in the grasshopper classroom.  I don't know if I'm ready!  Ha!

Nothing all that exciting to write about this evening.  We visited some sweet friends in Melbourne and Bethany got to meet a new friend this weekend!  We enjoyed seeing our church family at Summit this morning and I did a little prep cooking this evening for a crock pot recipe I'm excited to try.  Actually, I realized I forgot the tomato paste, so tomorrow before I turn on the slow cooker, the tomato paste has got to make its way into the mix.  The frozen portion missed it, but I'll make a note to add it later.

Happy soon-to-be Monday!  Make it a good one!
