An Anniversary and a Grasshopper

I am one lucky and blessed girl to be married to Marcus and on Wednesday, we celebrated four years of marriage!  Since Sea World is our closest "zoo" we took Bethany there in the morning and fed the dolphins.  In the evening, a sweet friend came to watch Bethany while Marcus and I went and had a delicious dinner at Colorado Fondue.  We haven't been there since our last anniversary, so it was pretty fantastic.  :)

Over the summer, I've been taking Bethany to her preschool for visits.  I guess I can call it that since this Monday she will officially start in the Grasshopper classroom with six other friends.  I think they're hoping for eight grasshoppers total, but right now they're at seven.  I will admit that at first, I was somewhat apprehensive about B moving from the infant room, but after today's visit, we are both excited!  For awhile, there were a few sixteen-month-olds in the classroom that were just so much faster and bigger than Bethany, but they have been promoted to the next class.  Now Bethany is with quite a few familiar faces (who were promoted from the infant room) and her fellow grasshoppers are just her speed.  So very thankful!

Today I went and visited a favorite consignment shop and found this pink flower tent for Bethany.  I don't know if she or the cats like it more, but everyone is having fun with it.  When Marcus got off from work, we took Bethany to get her first pair of walking sneakers at Stride Rite.  The director of her preschool gave me a link to a $5-off coupon which was combined with a great buy-one, get-one 50% off deal.  To top it off, it's tax-free weekend, so it worked out fairly economically and we were able to get shoes for now and shoes for later.  (She has to have walking sneakers for preschool.)  I was hoping that we'd be able to take photos of Bethany being fitted and testing out her first pair of shoes . . . but the store was absolutely crammed full of families who didn't want to miss out on the sale, so I didn't get any good pictures.  We still had fun and Bethany is all set with some cute pink shoes that I'll be sure to get some snapshots of soon enough!
