About Us

According to Marcus, when we were in ninth grade, I used to smile at him every day when I walked into the cafeteria.  It is hard for me to remember that, but he says he remembers it, and I guess it must be true since we discovered it was important enough for me to write about in his ninth grade yearbook several years later.  

(The "you're" is incorrect.  It should be "your".  I'm glad I know my contractions and possessives now.)

Our paths wouldn’t actually cross again until our senior year of high school at the surprise birthday of a mutual friend.  Marcus wore a UNC sweatshirt that night.  When he walked in, I thought to myself that it was really warm to be wearing a sweatshirt and . . . that he was really cute.

I could rewrite all the details of the evening from memory, but for the sake of your attention, I’ll just say that Marcus charmed me into dancing with him and we’ve been dancing together ever since!

We were married on August 10, 2007 and are so thankful that we get to share this lifetime together.  We are grateful to God for His grace in our lives and for bringing us ever nearer to Him.  After almost ten years, we are still so in love and are still learning what it means to love each other even better with every new day.

In September of 2010, our lives were changed forever by the incredible blessing of our beautiful daughter, Bethany.  We are so incredibly thankful for our precious girl and are loving life as new parents!
