Yesterday we had the joy of meeting sweet Taylor Brynn. She is tiny and absolutely beautiful. She weighs an ounce less than Bethany did at birth and is a half an inch longer. As I held her, tears welled up in my eyes as I thought about the miracle of childbirth and how quickly time passes.
Sometimes it is hard for me to remember that only six months ago, my baby girl was a teeny tiny newborn, fresh from God's hand. As much as I look forward to each and every new stage with Bethany, I do feel a twinge of bittersweetness when I think of the versions of herself that I will only be able to revisit in photographs. Time is just so precious. And goodness, I am so thankful for digital cameras!
New baby Taylor is going to have such a wonderful life. She has parents who absolutely love and adore her and who are already taking such good care of her. Marcus and I are blessed to know Robyn and Doug and are so thankful for their friendship in our lives. We are going to miss them when they move, but definitely understand the need to be near family!
I would have posted a photo, but we didn't have our camera. There were a few taken of Bethany and Taylor together and once I get a copy or two, I'll be sure to share one!
