A few things I've learned . . .

As a new mom, I have learned  . . .

- That you can get a lot done in two or three hours - you just have to be quick.
- That if you have nothing to do, it's okay to spend that two or three hours holding your sweet little one.
- That you can feel super rejuvenated after thirty minutes or an hour of sleep.
- That you feel like a new woman after two or three hours of sleep.
- That breakfast and lunch happen whenever I can squeeze them in!
- That breast feeding is a blessing.
- That newborns go through A LOT of diapers.
- That my husband is even more amazing than I already knew.  Seriously, he is wonderful.  I am so loved and so thankful.
- That nothing anyone said could have prepared me for the love parents have for their children.  It's beyond description.  I love my little girl so much.
- God is so good.

Yesterday, Bethany went on her  third afternoon stroller ride when Marcus got home.  (So far, we've had three successful walks out of four!)  I really enjoy our little walk and getting to hear about Marcus's work day.  It's a nice way to start our evening as a family.

Today hasn't been too eventful as of yet.  After getting four loads of laundry done yesterday, including the bed sheets, I'm relaxing.  (Yes, four loads!  Again, it's amazing what you can do in two to three hour time blocks!)  This morning, a nurse came out to the house to draw our blood and basically run quick physicals on us.  She came out as the final part of our approval process with the life insurance company.  I'm pretty sure we'll check out healthy!  I know life insurance seems slightly morbid, but we have a daughter and a mortgage to think about now.  Hopefully, we won't have to even think about the policy (except to pay the bill) until we're grandparents or great-grandparents ourselves.

In other exciting news, Sara is visiting during the weekend of the 23rd.  I'm so excited for her to come, stay, and meet sweet little Bethany.  It's going to be great!

By the way, Marcus is the best husband ever.  I love him so much.  He's been so supportive and encouraging and loving.  I'm so thankful that he wants to support me in my decisions and opinons.  I have a wonderful family.
