Haven't Worked in Over a Year

Confucius once said "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life." I'm not a person that generally quotes Confucius, but this one is right up my alley.

In August of 2009, I started working at a creative agency in Oviedo (Orlando area) called FliteHaus. FliteHaus is an Orlando web design company that that does branding, web design/development, logo and print design, and just about anything you can think of that would need to be designed. After a much needed move of their office and a slight change of staff, they hired me in August of 2009. My name was given to them by a friend of mine, Jennie Bottone, that was interviewing for them but they decided they weren't going to be a good match.

Now it's been over a year and I absolutely love my job! Every day is a new challenge. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love solving puzzles and overcoming challenges. I have improved my PHP skills, learned a bunch of JQuery, and become pretty good at building sites using Drupal.

And more personally, this job has allowed me and Lisa to eliminate almost all of our debt, save up and buy a house, and provide us the means to start a family. I'm truly excited what the next year holds and the places I will go, as a dad and as an employee at FliteHaus.
