I thought I would share the Old Wive's Tales that have been true and false for me:
*It is said that if you crave protein, you are carrying a boy - completely false for me! I still want steak!
*It is said that if you crave orange juice, you are carrying a girl - this one is true for me and I don't know why I didn't have orange juice listed on my craving list because I have had a lot of orange juice throughout my pregnancy.
*It is said that if your skin breaks out, you are carrying a girl - this one is also true for me. I have never had great skin . . . but my skin has definitely freaked out over the last five months.
*It is said that if your hair becomes more oily, you are carrying a girl - this one was true for a time. I'm glad to say it seems to have gone. My hair definitely seems thicker, but I think that's a pregnancy thing. I still have good and bad hair days . . . I really need to go to the salon . . . I haven't set foot in one since learning about the pregnancy. My ends are in desperate need of repair!
*It is said that if you crave fruit all the time, you are carrying a girl - this one is not true for me. However, I did have a good two week period where I ate a lot of grapefruit.
*It is said that if you do not experience much morning sickness, you are carrying a boy - this is not true for me. I have not experienced much morning sickness and only had to vomit one time! Bethany has been very good to me! You do not have to be sick to have a sweet baby girl!
* It is said that if you are carrying higher and wider, you are carrying a girl - I think I am definitely looking a little wider, but I still can't tell if I'm carrying high or low. I have had people tell me that I'm carrying both high and low . . . . so I guess I'll just wait and see what my belly looks like later!
* This one is my mother's input - if you are tired all the time, you are carrying a girl. This was definitely true in my first trimester and I still experience bouts of fatigue every now and then, but certainly not as often as in the beginning.
Well, that's about all I can think of for now! I am excited about tomorrow night! Marcus and I have our usual Friday night date night scheduled, but tomorrow we will be going to register for Bethany at Target and Pottery Barn Kids. The photo above is of the Daisy Garden nursery bedding set that I have grown to love! I want to see what it looks like in person tomorrow at the store. We also considered registering at Babies R' Us, but figured Target is just so much easier for our family and friends who are not located in Orlando. (Plus, not going to lie, I love Target.) We're also looking forward to a yummy dinner out at Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs since we'll be out at Millenia . . .
