Happy Birthday, Malina!!
It's been a good week for the Burnettes! The biggest and most exciting news is that our baby has started moving! The "bubble" like movements are gone and now when I feel the baby, I'm definitely feeling little kicks and bumps. Marcus got to feel two strong kicks on Friday night. I was excited that he got to feel a couple of strong ones. Earlier in the week he had felt some gentle bumps and I was hoping that he would get to feel his little baby give him a good kick sometime soon!
This weekend we went and saw a couple of movies. It was nice to be out and about again. We saw "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Disney's Oceans". Both were great films. "How to Train Your Dragon" made me look forward to family movie nights with our children in the future . . . even though it will be awhile before our children are able to sit through a movie! We took my cousin, Justice, with us to see "Oceans" and everyone really liked it. Although, the documentary style didn't follow any particular family of marine life, it kind of just jumped around and showed as much of the ocean as it could.
We also took Malina, my sis-in-law and Marcus's sister, to dinner on Saturday for her birthday. She celebrated her 24th birthday Thursday. We had a great time at Texas Roadhouse and it was good to spend sometime in Melbourne with the in-laws. I got to float around in their pretty new pool for the first time which made for a refreshing and relaxing afternoon!
Oh, I think Marcus and I have settled on our baby names. We're both looking forward to May 3rd and our next ultrasound quite a bit! We want to make sure that my body is healing the way that it should and we want to know that everything is wonderful with our baby! We also are so curious as to know whether the baby is a boy or girl! We had a hard time deciding on the perfect baby girl name . . . and I'm not sure whether we'll change our minds . . . but I'm pretty sure we're settled. As far as a baby boy name goes . . .well, I am pretty sure we've had this name picked since we were eighteen. To think . . . our silly teenage musings are now a very real and blessed reality. We are so elated and overjoyed!
