Saturday!

Bethany and Mommy hanging out at home.

Woot!  I am so thankful that I am in the middle of a three-day weekend.  Lately, I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with trying to balance my roles as wife, mommy, and teacher, so having a little extra rejuvenation is so helpful!

Today, I played assistant-hostess at my sweet friend's baby shower.  It's been in planning for months and finally getting to celebrate Robyn and her soon-to-be-born baby girl was so rewarding!  The shower was so gorgeous and absolutely the most beautiful party I have ever been a part of or helped plan.  The hostess in charge has a serious knack for detail and everything came together like something from a magazine.  From the fabric linens and napkins to paper lanterns to chocolate and pink ribbons and the banner that Marcus and I custom designed . . . everything was just perfect and Robyn deserved every bit of it!  Seriously, one of the comments I heard from one of the 35+ ladies in attendance was, "There are weddings that are not as nice as this shower!"

Tomorrow, Marcus and I will go to worship at Summit's new Waterford building and church home.  We're excited!  The building has been a project in the making for about a year and half.  It will be incredible to see how God moves through the people who walk through the doors of the new Waterford Campus.  There are great things in store.

Bethany is doing wonderfully.  She is one smart, strong, and happy little girl.  She and her daddy had a big day out together since I was busy with the shower.  I missed her so much, but am glad she got to spend time with her daddy.  Marcus took her to Waterford and pushed her around in the stroller and took her to the pet shop to see the puppies and kitties.  He also took her to the Oviedo mall and bought me a hat that I've been wanting for one of Bethany's dresses.  As he described their day together, I was reminded of just how blessed I am to be married to him.  I love Marcus so much.

Time to sleep.  Looking forward to worshipping and celebrating in the morning!  There is an exciting Sunday ahead!
