Baby Bethany was excited for today's Magic game!
Okay, so I realize some of my ranting yesterday wasn't exactly helpful. Every now and then, it is nice to get things off of my chest, but not when it comes at the expense of hurting someone. Some of the things I said could have hurt somebody and that's not the point I want to make or my intent at all. I just want people to realize that people are people and that a little love and respect goes a long way.
People love (and I mean absolutely LOVE) to feel justified in their decisions and the choices they make. We want to feel like what we are doing is best. Whether it is shopping, cooking, parenting, learning, our forms of entertainment, or what we read - we like our methods because they work for us. And often times, we feel like other people need to like our methods, too.
This isn't always necessary, though. Of course, it is bliss when we find someone whose ideals and methodologies similar to our own. We can relate to them and that is a wonderful thing. However, I truly believe life is so much more fun and so much more beautiful when we look past differences and connect with someone regardless of how similar or different they are from us.
That being said, I'm praying that God will help me truly love without condition, so that He can use me to love well, connect well, and serve well.
