Mary's Baby Shower!
Mary had a wonderful baby shower on Saturday. It was great to see her and her family. Her grandparents were friends with my grandparents and way back in the day Mary and I were in the same nursery and Sunday School classes at church. As kids, we were both in a pretty involved musical about Jonah and the Whale. I played a tour guide and she played a tourist at a Bible museum. We both had a ton of lines and I remember everyone being so impressed that such little girls could memorize so much. We were cute kids:

It has been awhile since I've seen Mary, so it was good to catch up. For some reason, I thought I had not seen her since high school, but as I was going through some photos on my computer, I realized there were a few times we met up during college, too. (How am I already forgetting things from college?) Mary is actually how I met Megan. I don't remember when exactly, but Mary would bring Megan with her to church from time to time.
Above is Megan's backyard. (And the entire banner. I'm glad she took some photos!) Her house is just gorgeous and makes me miss my old hometown every time I visit. Seriously, what is more serene than a canal and manatees a few feet from your door?
Days like Saturday do make me miss the beach, but days like today make our home pretty wonderful as well.
After worship at Summit, we went and walked around the Winter Park Art Festival. The weather was perfect and there were so many awesome displays. I know we didn't get a chance to see all of them. Artists are so incredibly creative. Everything from glass sculptures to woodwork to paintings to realistic human statues were showcased.
Bethany taking a break with Daddy and looking around with Mommy. Bethany even saw her first train! All of the kids around us were pretty excited about it.
She was too preoccupied to smile for us, but we did get this one of her in the middle of a coo:
Since we were on Park Avenue, we also visited The Tugboat and the Bird - a super sweet, super adorable children's boutique. I love looking at their cute and unique gifts and clothes. Smocked dresses galore! So dangerous. Haha. I try to be smart, though. Almost every one of their boutique labels is listed on Zulily regularly.
After our very fun and tiring day, Bethany was ready to cool off and play at home.
After her before-bed-bath, she decided she wanted to play a little bit longer. Thankfully, she is sleeping now. :)
