Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

Posted By: Katie and Bobby

The past month has been very eventful and the Holiday seasons have been a lot of fun - and work!

We attended the Campus Outreach Thanksgiving party and had a wonderful Thanksgiving of our own. We had the party at the Church with the staff and did what we always seem to do…eat! Katie and Melody slaved away in the kitchen…

December has been eventful too! We finished school on the 12th, so we’ve had a great break! We’ve mostly spending time with the family here and the team too. Bobby was able to go to the NEU campus with Steve to see what their ministry is like. We had another “mom’s day out” where all the kids came to the church for the day while the moms could go out to shop or run errands… etc. We had it at the church - which is really coming along great!!

The CO team had a Christmas party on the 20th - all the families came and we ate and celebrated the birth of our Savior! Bobby and I were actually on the decorating team! Bobby’s tree trimming skills really came in to place, as all the centerpieces were fresh cut by him from the Firpo’s yard! We played games and did a gift exchange - sanook maak (very fun)!

So we’ve been staying with the Hunts for Christmas! We came on Monday and have been staying the week with them - our home away from home! It’s been an eventful Christmas - full of shopping, cooking, and eating!! We shared our traditions with one another and just really enjoyed spending our Christmas with the Hunts. They have truly made us feel like family! Bobby and I decided this year to buy each other a night at the Sofitel (I actually surprised Bobby!) - the 5-star hotel here in Khon Kaen! We haven’t had really any time to ourselves here, so it’s really an exciting thing for us to “get-away” for a night!

New year’s is soon - it’s actually a HUGE holiday here in Thailand! People exchange presents and everyone is just so excited! We are planning on spending the New Year with Bobby’s family, but we’re not sure, as Thais like to wait until the very last minute to plan anything!

Thanks again for keeping up with us - we will try to keep you a little more updated. Best wishes this Holiday season!

Much love,

“BobKat”

    Merry Christmas!

I’ve prayed hard for you to have a wonderful, beautiful Christmas, and you did!! YAY! Be sure the Hunt family all know that we love them and appreciate everything they have done for you. We actually feel like they are family, too! <3 God’s love is so big and wide that it sometimes takes my breath away, you know?

Of course you were missed here. We had a busy day, too! Everyone says, “Hello, we love and miss you!” February 3rd is just around the corner.

    Much love to you all,
    Mommita

I will make another comment, as no one else is making them. :P

In another couple of hours you’ll be celebrating New Year’s Eve; right now, you’re still sleeping…dreaming about coconut shells, no doubt. lol

    HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE, YALL!

We hope you have a great celebration with Bobby’s family and have lotsa fun with present exchanges and all. (I wonder what the “Big Lot” grocery store had to offer this week…that intrigues me!)

We will be celebrating with G’ma and G’pa S. and play cards, games, and eat over in Zephyr Hills. It’ll be good to see them!

I really love the green t-shirted Hunt Family picture of their shortest to tallest behinds! How cute is that pic, anyway? Sweet family!

I love you. Enjoy New Year’s! xoxox

Wow, it looks like you guys are having a really great time. Almost completely moved in over here in Chesapeake and I found out we’re not going out for a couple more weeks. Hopefully it will work out so that I can see you guys before I go. Love you

Thank you for all the pictures. I really do love them all. Just as I was missing you and re-counting the days til you’ll be back home, I noticed the eye candy! There were some pics I hadn’t seen! YAY! That perked me right up. I really love what God has done with the church! The multipurpose room is wonderful! Bobbo, that was some kinda pretty “new bathroom showcasing” you did! “Go Vanna Bob!”
Be thinking of how we can re-introduce you to regular life in Melbourne, Florida. Mission work changes a person so much! You will be blessings, when you show and tell of your experiences, to folks who have no idea what life outside “their world” is like. I cannot wait to see you!
Did you get my email about John Griffin? Pray for him, Donna, Jessie, Janie and Garrett. John is receiving chemo for the next 4 days…including Sundays. More on his condition later. They will need loads of healing prayers to keep their spirits high and laughter to lighten the mood, and take the edge off!
    Love you,
    Mommita
